Arsenal reportedly had a scout in attendance for Portuguese giants Benfica’s 10-0 victory over Nacional at the weekend, with Spanish full-back Alex Grimaldo the subject of the Premier League teams interest.

The 23-year-old star has been rumoured with the likes of La Liga giants Atletico Madrid Napoli Inter Milan and Manchester City in the recent months.

The former Spain Under-21 international came through the ranks of famous La Masia academy, however, left the Nou Camp without playing a single game and has since then had a successful career in Portugal and his fine form hasn’t gone unnoticed with top teams from Europe are considering a move for his signature.

According to A Bola, a representative from the North London club watched Grimaldo in action during his team’s 10 -0 win over Nacional in Portugal’s top ties, with the defender, has scored the opening goal of the game on the 1st minute.

The 23-year-old, who has now found back of the net six times and provided five assists from left-back this campaign, will see his current contract with Portuguese giants at the end of the 2020-21 season,

Meanwhile, Arsenal and current Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund could go head to head over a potential deal to sign Genk key man Leandro Trossard.

According to an exclusive report from Football London, the Gunners have been connected with a move for the attacker, while the German giants have also recently entered the race for his signature.
