Gunners are said to be prepared to offer Luka Jovic a huge wage to join them this summer. Gunners could be on the hunt for a new striker, with the future of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang uncertain, and Serbia international has emerged as their one of their top targets.
Luka has experienced a difficult campaign at Real Madrid after making a £52m move last summer. Gunners see the quality that Jovic possesses though, and are now willing to make him one of their top earners, according to the latest reports.
Gunners reportedly would offer the 22-year-old striker up to £192,000-a-week to sign for them, such as Mikel Arteta’s desire to see him at the London club. That would have to be classed as a shock move if it did happen for Arsenal.
The Gunners have been trying to cut the wage bill, so they would be making a big exception if they were to offer the Serbian centre-forward such a huge salary. Gunners stance may come as replacing Aubameyang will be extremely tough for them.
Gabon international has been a frequent scorer and finding an adequate replacement is unlikely to be possible, unless Gunners are prepared to spend big.
