Arsenal and current Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund could go head to head over a potential deal to sign Genk key man Leandro Trossard.
According to an exclusive report from Football London, the Gunners have been connected with a move for the attacker, while the German giants have also recently entered the race for his signature.
After showing an initial interest in landing Trossard towards the end of the previous year, the Gunners have reportedly set their sights on a summer swoop.
The 23-year-old star plays his football in the top tier of Belgian football and has been in stunning form for Genk this campaign. From 18 Pro League matches, the star has found the back of the net on 10 occasions.
Football London’s report suggests that possible suitors such as Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal would be able to strike a transfer for Leandro at a reasonable price, also.
Genk’s board are said to value their talisman at £22 million, which would seem to place him within the financial reach of both Spanish manager Unai Emery and Swiss tactician Lucien Favre’s clubs.
Leandro Trossard is not the only player who is linked with both the London-based giants and die Borussen, both sides are in the battle to secure the signature of highly-rated Atalanta central defender, Gianluca Mancini.
Competition is very high as a host of Italian heavyweights, Juventus, AS Roma and Inter Milan are also in the hunt for the Italian centre-back with Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are said to be in pole position to secure his services.
