Arsenal could hijack Chelsea move for Russia’s world-cup star Aleksandr Golovin according to the reports from Britain.
The Blues are keen on landing Russia international midfielder after his impressive showing for his country’s quareter-final run.
Juventus and Barcelona have also been rumoured with securing the services of the CSKA Moscow midfielder.
Roman Abramovich’s team looked to be the only Premier League team in the hunt for Golovin, however, now Arsenal have joined the race for his signature.
Transfer Market Web report that the Gunners have joined the race and ready to lure 22-year-old midfielder with £30m release clause at Emirates Stadium.
CSKA head-coach Valery Gazzaev thinks Golovin is on his way to Chelsea.
He recently told Mir24: “Golovin will decide where the best place for him is.
“As far as I know, he’s already signed a contract with Chelsea. I think they’re a good option for him
It’s a big responsibility for him, but one that he’s prepared for.’
Both London teams are determined to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the next season and Golovin has been on top of their wishlist.
