Arsenal have reportedly considering an idea of including French forward, Olivier Giroud as part-exchange in a deal with Borussia Dortmund for to secure the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be increasingly confident of signing the Gabon international forward in January as they looking a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who has been tipped with a switch to direct PRemeir League rivals Manchester United.
The Gabon international forward has fallen out of favour at Borussia Dortmund amid the speculation, with the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc today suggested that the player’s “behaviour” is reaching “a point where you can no longer tolerate it”.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are reluctant to meet Dortmund’s £60m asking price for Aubameyang and will instead make an offer of £30m plus Olivier Giroud, who remains down in the pecking order after the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.
The newspaper suggested that the Gunners will not sign both Aubameyang and Brazilian winger Malcom, who is believed to closing in on a £45m switch to North London club, and will make the former their “priority” this month.
The 28-year-old Bundesliga forward has been in stunning form for Dortmund this campaign scoring 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga games in the first half of the season.
