Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu favours a move to England, amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old midfielder hasn’t played football for four month due to a FIFA suspension, but he remains on the radar of hosts of the European club.
Despite his ban, which is linked to a contract breach during the early part of his career, the 23-year-old midfielder managed to make 26-appearences for Leverkusen and found the net for six times in the process.
According to Bild, Calhanoglu is open for Leverkusen exit, and Premier League or Serie A seems to be his favoured destinations.
The source from Germany reports that Serie A giants Lazio have also expressed interest in Turkish free-kick specialist. However, they are only prepared to offer £13million to Bayer Leverkusen.
This leaves the door wide open for both London giants Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Leverkusen’s Officials Jonas Boldt and Rudi Voller held talks with midfielder regarding his future and further meetings are expected in the coming weeks.
Arsenal are keen on to strengthen their midfield options this summer after Granit Xhaka’s mixed debut season and Turkish international could be an ideal upgrade for Swiss star.
