German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to sell Austrian defender David Alaba during the upcoming summer transfer window amid suggestions that the North London giants, Arsenal want to sign him.
The 26-year-old versatile defender who has also been rumoured with a move Real Madrid, has found back of the net twice and contributed two assists in 24 games in the German top-tier during the 2018-19 season.
German champions have already secured the services of highly-rated full-back Lucas Hernandez from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid ahead of next campaign, however, and The Independent has reported that Alaba could be moved on during the summer transfer window.
Earlier this month, the 26-year-old Austian defender has suggested that he would be open to joining one of the top teams in the Premier League.
Since breaking into the first team in 2010, Alaba has played around 335 games in all competitions for German champions, winning the seven Bundesliga trophies, three DFB-Pokal crowns and one Champions League tittle.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal may reportedly go head to head to secure services of £50m-rated defender Michael Keane.
Everton defender has statistically been one of the best in the English top-tier, outranking all but the Merseyside Reds centre-back Virgil van Dijk who arguably been the best defender this season.
Keane’s fine form has seen him regain his place for England national team, playing a full part in the victories over the Montenegro and Czech Republic this month.
According to the Daily Mail, the Merseyside Blues could face a battle to keep him at Goodison Park last summer as Tottenham and Arsenal also eyeing move for his signature.
