The London giants transfer target Thomas Partey has been urged to ‘prove himself’ in the Premier League amid speculation over a move to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid.
Ghana international has been continually linked with a move to the Emirates this summer with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly keen to bolster his midfield by signing the midfielder from Atletico.
Partey has a £44m release clause and his contract with the Los Rojiblancos runs until 2023. It has also emerged that the Argentine tactician is reluctant to let Thomas leave the club and wants to hold on to the African midfielder, despite interest from the Gunners.
Now, Partey’s Ghana team-mate Joseph Attamah Larweh has spoken out regarding the 26-year-old midfielder’s move to the London club.
Gunners have, for some time now, longed for a footballer in the same kin as their legendary defensive midfielder Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta will now turn to Partey who has similar attributes, to be their primary defensive midfielder who sits in midfield to protect the back four.
Gunners have made the Ghanaian midfielder, their ‘priority objective’ and the London giants are preparing to submit a bid for the midfielder to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
