Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has flown to England looking to secure a return to the Premier League with Everton and Arsenal are looking both in the hunt for Frenchman’s signature.
According to Marca, the La Liga powerhouse is trying to force a move away from his current club and has told his team-mates over his desire to leave the club for the next season.
The same source claim that Arsene Wenger’s side and the Toffees are at the front to agree on terms with former Stoke City player.
Sevilla though are in no rush to sell their star player and if someone wants to lure him away from La Liga, they must active players €40m (£35m) release clause.
The 28-year-old fell out with Sevilla former manager Eduardo Berizzo but he has retuned starting spot after the arrival of Montella but rumours over his future with the Spanish giants remains up in the air.
Everton may have a little advantage over Arsenal to secure the services of French midfielder, with the Toffees new boss Sam Allardyce is a big admirer of a 28-year-old star with whom he worked at Blackburn Rovers.
N’Zonzi revived his career when he moved to Sevilla after a three-year disappointing spell at Stoke City.
He has so far made 108 appearances for Sevilla and has helped them to claim the Europe League title in 2016.
