Arsenal have reportedly joined crowded race for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic.
The 21-year-old Serbian forward has joined Portugues giants Benfica from Red Star Belgrade in 2016 however, last two season he has spent in Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, founding back of the net 30 times in 59 games for the Bundesliga outfit.
German club will reportedly take up their option to make the 21-year-old forwards move permanent this summer and could sell him for a huge profit.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea have all been rumoured with a move for the Serbian forward, however, according to Marca, Unai Emery’s Arsenal are believed to be frontrunners to secure the services of 21-year-old forward.
Jovic, who was a part of the Serbia squad that participate at the World Cup tournament has been in stunning form this season scoring 21 goals in 32 games for Frankfurt during the 2018-19 campaign.
Last month, it was reported that the Catalan club had already struck a deal to secure services of the forward this summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in securing services of Calgiari playmaker Nicolo Barela.
The Italian midfielder has long been touted as a target for Arsenal’s direct Premier League rivals Chelsea, as Maurizio Sarri sees him as an ideal replacement for Cesc Fabregas following his January move to AS Monaco.
Chelsea are believed to have had a £44m bid rejected for Barella during the January transfer window, and Arsenal are believed to be clear favourites to lure Italian midfielder at Emirates Stadium.
