Arsenal could reportedly miss out on signing Boca Juniors striker Cristian Pavon, with the 22-year-old’s team preparing to offer him a new deal in the coming days.
The North London club have been linked with a move for Pavon over the last few weeks, and the Premier League club were believed to be confident of securing a deal for the Argentine international forward despite interest from Barcelona.
However, according to AS, Boca Juniors want to tie the South American forward to tie a new deal, which would see the attacker’s release clause rise to £37.5m this summer.
The report claims that te Gunners could now drop their interest in a player who has failed to impress at World-cup tournament in Russia as Argentina have been eliminated by France.
Pavon found back of the net seven times and provided19 assists in 32 games for Boca Juniors during the 2017-18 season.
