Arsenal are leading the hunt to sign highly-rated Turkey international and AS Roma winger Cengiz Ünder, according to sources cited by Sport Witness.
The 21-year old star winger from AS Roma is widely considered to be one of the most promising youngsters in Europe, and German giants Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on landing him.
The Giallorossi would demand a high sum of £52 million to tempt them to part company with their promising talent, who they signed from Turkish side İstanbul Başakşehir in 2017.
Başakşehir, as per the transfer agreement between clubs, would be set to pocket 20% of any sale for Cengiz, which could be one of the reasons Giallorossi are likely to demand such a high fee.
The Gunners are planning to improve their wide options, and Cengiz Ünder would fit Spanish manager Unai Emery’s style of play.
This season, in all competitions (Serie A, Champions League), the technically gifted star has already netted twice and assisted three goals so far this season.
Despite Arsenal’s keen interest, the north London giants yet to open official negotiations with AS Roma regarding of potential transfer of Turkish wizard.
