Man Utd head-coach Jose Mourinho has persuaded England U-21 goalkeeper Dean Henderson to remain at the club, amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
The England U-21 stopper is certainly in demand, with over a dozen clubs in Premier League are waiting when his deal expires to snatch him for free.
Henderson’s stock rose rapidly after a successful loan spell at Shrewsbury Town this campaign.
However, despite being tempted to leave the Red Devils for permanent basis, Mourinho has reportedly persuaded the youngster to put pen on a new deal.
Man Utd are believed to have an option to extend his deal by another year.
Henderson will be loaned out to a Championship outfit this campaign to gain more first-team minutes away from Old Trafford.
As well as Arsenal and Chelsea second-tier teams from England are believed to have been keeping tabs on Henderson should he have rejected Man Utd contract offer.
The massive interest comes after the starlet’s impressive loan spell in League One, he kept 19 clean sheets for Shrewsbury and being named in the PFA Team of the Year last month.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both in the market for a new goalkeeper in order to replace Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois.
