Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly been dealt a blow in their bid to secure services of Hakim Ziyech.

Having helped Ajax to reach the Champions League semi-finals last campaign, Morocco international forward has been frequently rumoured with a number of teams in the Premier League.

However, despite Dutch giants forward having a relatively modest release clause of €30m (£26.71m), a transfer failed to done in the summer.

According to AS, Ajax have now been convinced to keep Zyeich at the club by offering him an improved deal, in return for removing the release clause in the contract.

The report claims that the 26-year-old has agreed to the fresh terms, which is likely to keep him tied to the team for a number of the campaign.

Ziyech has already managed to found back of the net five times and create four assists from nine appearances in Eredivisie and the Champions League during the 2019/20 season.

Meanwhile, both Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping tabs on another Ajax sensation Donny van de Beek who has also been a part of Dutch giants success last season.
