Arsenal are reportedly planning to make a summer move for Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan as the Gunners look for a long-term replacement to Juventus bound Aaron Ramsey.
The North London club are believed to be active in this summer’s transfer window especially if they finish top-four in the Premier League or somehow manage to claim the Europe League trophy, and one of the club’s priorities will be to sign a replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
According to Marca, Jordan’s performances in La Liga this term have captured the attention of the North London club, with Unai Emery believed to be a huge fan of the 24-year-old’s talents.
The two-time Catalonia international has made the switch to Eibar from their La Liga rivals from Espanyol back in 2017, he has managed to found back of the net three times and contributed four assists in 27 games in the Spanish top-tier.
Jordan’s current contract with Eibar will expire in the summer of 2020, while it is believed that he has a release clause as little as £12.9m and could be an absolutely Bargain signing for the Gunners.
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey may reportedly remain at La Liga giants Atletico Madrid for another campaign, despite growing interest from top teams in the Premier League.
Reports in Spain last week suggested that the Ghana international has a £43m release clause in his current deal with the Madrid club which has attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has played in all, however, four of Atleti’s 24 La Liga games this season, though nine of those games have come from the bench.
