Arsenal have suffered a transfer blow as AS Roma pacy winger Cengiz Under could be on his way to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, according to a report on football news Italian website Calciomercato.com
Cengiz Under’s former owner at Turkish top flight Super Lig club Altinordu, Mehmet Özkan, believes that the German club is closely monitoring the young winger.
Mehmet Özkan said: “Bayern Munich are following him [Under] very closely, and he could leave for an important transfer fee.”
The young attacker has put in some impressive performances this campaign and has become a key part of AS Roma’s attack, alongside fellow youngster Justin Kluivert.
Arsenal have been closely connected with a move for the Turkey international, who only joined AS Roma last summer for a fee of €14m.
Further reports are suggesting that German club could be weighing up a €60m offer for Cengiz Under, which could prove to be too hard to refuse for Giallorossi.
This season, in all competitions (Champions League, AS Roma), the 21-year-old ace has made 8 appearances, netted 2 goals and provided 4 assists for the Rome-based outfit
