Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly decided to keep close tabs on any developments with AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The 22-year-old is close at the end of his second season at San Siro, with scoring nine times from 83 games in all competitions.
However, Ivory Coast international midfielder was fined earlier this week due to a touchline argument with his own teammate Lucas Biglia, which has seemingly led to doubts emerging over the future of the player.
According to Tuttomercato, the 22-year-old midfielder is unhappy with his punishment and may be willing to leave the club this summer when the transfer window will be re-opened.
Milan’s recent issues with FFP team also lead to offers in the region of €40m (£34.28m) being considered for the Ivory coasts international midfielder, who will not be short of fans from top team in Europe.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been rumoured with securing the services of Franck Kessie over the past 12 months.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in securing services of Calgiari playmaker Nicolo Barela.
The Italian midfielder has long been touted as a target for Arsenal’s direct Premier League rivals Chelsea, as Maurizio Sarri sees him as an ideal replacement for Cesc Fabregas following his January move to AS Monaco.
Chelsea are believed to have had a £44m bid rejected for Barella during the January transfer window, and Arsenal are believed to be clear favourites to lure Italian midfielder at Emirates Stadium.
