The agent of Inter Milan stopper Ionut Radu has revealed that Premier League giants Arsenal are interested in the 22-year-old.
Radu has impressed with his form during on loan at Genoa last campaign, making 33 appearances in total in his first full campaign in Italian top-tier As a result, several teams are interested in securing the services of the Romanian, who despite his successful season has little chance of starting for Inter Milan with Samir Handanovic has been their no.1 stopper for years.
The Gunners are in need of a new stopper following the retirement of Petr Cech, and it has been reported that Radu is on their radar.
Radu’s agent, Crescenzo Cecere, told FCInterNews: “There are so many teams interested, including Lyon. Recently, there was also a survey from Arsenal.
“He is a very interesting prospect since he is growing a lot, from all points of view.”
Radu’s is still technically under contract with Serie A outfits Genoa until 2021, however, Inter have a buyback clause. However, he has revealed that he would like to spend one more year at Genoa to continue his development before making a switch to a top team.
Arsenal have also been rumoured with Valencia’s stopper Neto, however, appear to have been priced out of a deal – while Colombian keeper David Ospina wants to secure an exit from the Gunners and sign a permanent deal with Napoli.
