Arsenal desperate to sign £18m-rated South American No.10 in January

The London-based outfit Arsenal are reportedly “big admirers” of the Argentine side Boca Juniors and Argentina international forward Cristian Pavón, according to football.london.

The Premier League club, who travel to Newcastle United on Saturday in Premier League, have been continually linked with a swoop for the highly rated Boca Juniors key man.

The 22-year-old star, who has 10 international caps for Argentina, has already netted two goals in four league matches for the Primera Division outfit thus far this season.

Christian, who featured four times for his country at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia this summer, has netted 25 goals in 87 games overall for the Argentine giants.

Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts has revealed that north London giants are “big admirers” of right winger Christian but believes the sought after star will move to La Liga instead.

Pavón is contracted at Azul y Oro until June of 2022 and is valued at £18 million via Transfermarkt.

Journalist Charles expects Gunners Spanish head coach Unai Emery to do little business throughout the forthcoming January transfer market, although a new left-back is the club’s priority.
