Arsenal defensive midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Man Utd.
Despite having initially established himself as one of the teams top prospects after a move from French outfits Lorient, the 21-year-old midfielder has recently dropped down the pecking order under new head-coach, Mikel Arteta.
After showing a lack of discipline against Brighton last weekend, Frenchman was subsequently left out of the squad for the Southampton clash on Thursday, resulting in rumours regarding his long-term future at the North London club.
At a time when a wide range of teams are being linked with the Frenchman, L’Equipe reports that the Gunners direct Premier League rivals, Man United are keeping tabs on the situation.
Although the Premier League heavyweights are well stocked for options in the middle area, it appears that they may be prepared to move for the opinion-dividing player.
La Liga pair Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are believed to also interested to secure the services of the Frenchman, while Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on to sign Guendouzi.
Arsenal several key players have already swapped Emirates Stadium for Old Trafford, Alexis Sanche, Robin Van Persie and now Guendouzi could be next.
