Premier League giants have made an approach for Atletico Madrid attacker Saul Niguez and are ready to break the bank in order to lure him to Stamford Bridge for the next campaign.
The 22-year-old playmaker continues to impress for Diego Simeone’s side this term as he has managed to score a brace against Barcelona last week.
Spain international has been one of the brightest talents in La Liga, and Antonio Conte is desperate to lure him at Chelsea.
According to Don Balon, Conte is a huge fan of Atletico Madrid’s attacking midfielder and wants to work with him at Chelsea.
Don Balon also reported that the defending Premier League champions are ready to offer £71m for Niguez after the end of the current campaign.
Spaniard midfielder has recently renewed his Atletico Madrid contract, and the playmaker now has a £134m release clause.
However, Don Balon claim that Diego Simeone has no interest to lose his star player and unlikely to allow Niguez to make a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Atletico have told Chelsea that Niguez is not for sale unless they pay players £134m buy-out clause.
Conte splashed over £200m during the summer transfer window, with the Italian manager has signed: Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata, Danny Drinkwater, Davide Zapacostta and Willy Caballero.
However, the Blues have had a tough start of the 2017/18 season as they are nine points behind with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
