Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Argentine International forward Gonzalo Higuain ahead of the next season.
The 30-year-old forward has spent the past two campaigns with Serie A champions Juventus, founding back of the net 55 times in 105 appearances for the Turin club.
He left Napoli to join Allegri’s side back in 2016, having enjoyed a wonderful 2015/16 season under Maurizio Sarri become the highest scoring player in Serie A history after founding back of the net 36 times in just 35 league games.
Sarri looks set to be confirmed as the Blues new head-coach, succeeding Antonio Conte, in the upcoming weeks, and the latest reports suggested that he will make Argentine International forward his first signing at Stamford Bridge.
Sport Mediaset claim Chelsea and Juventus have finally agreed on a deal for the transfer of Higuain to west London for a fee of around £53million (€60m).
It is reported that Higuain could be officially announced as the Blues player ‘immediately after’ Sarri move to the club will be confirmed.
The Blues are also working on a deal to sign Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani, however, talks for the Italian defender are taking place separate to those for Gonzalo Higuain, with no agreement has been reached between the two parties.
