The agent of Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri has spoken out about his client’s future amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 26-year-old midfielder has developed into one of the best players in Ligue 1 since his transfer from Pacos de Ferreira in 2015.
His performances in Ligue 1 have caught the attention of hosts of European clubs and the London rivals are both keen to secure his signature ahead of the next season.
Reports on Wednesday suggested that Arsenal’s new boss Unai Emery wants to make Seri his first signing at Emirates Stadium with a £35million move.
However, Chelsea are also in the hunt and are believed to be preparing a move for the 26-year-old midfielder.
Serie A side Napoli are the latest club that have expressed interest in Seri.
‘It’s true that there are possibilities in England, so we’ll see,’ he told Sports Witness.
‘But [new Napoli manager] Carlo Ancelotti has a strong image and is very respected by the players he’s managed, which can be a decisive factor for Seri.
‘Basically, he works via his emotions. He’ll go where he’s most desired, so if you really want him and you’re welcoming…
‘Because Napoli play nice football, and over the years they’ve become a bigger club, so he’s going to listen very carefully.’
