Dejan Lovren’s agent have reportedly established contact with Serie A giants AC Milan regarding a potential summer move to Italy ahead of the next season.

Milan, who are in the market for a new defender ahead of the next season failed in their pursuit of Ozan Kabak who has made a switch to Bundesliga outfits Schalke 04.

Lovren endured a difficult 2018-19 season under Jurgen Klopp last campaign, playing only 13 games in the English top-tier.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Predrag Mijatovic – an intermediary for agent Vlado Lemic – has reportedly met with the representatives of AC Milan in order to discuss Croatian defender’s possible move to Serie A.

The Reds are expected to demand at least £25m for world-cup finalise, whose deal at Anfield set to expire in 2021.

AC Milan are yet to finalise any transfers in the summer other than signing on-loan star Franck Kessie on a permanent deal for £21.6m.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have asked about the availability of Man Utd long-term target and Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, according to the reports.

The centre-back has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United for the last two years, with the Red Devils seen several bids turned dwon by Napoli.

Italian giants have refused to budge on their near £100million price tag and are under no pressure to cash in on the player who has turned 27.

However, the Italian outlet Il Mattino now reports that the Merseyside Reds have entered the race to secure services of Koulibaly.
