Liverpool starlet Marko Grujic has been recently linked with a season-long loan return to his former club Red Star Belgrade, but his agents insist that midfielder has no plans to leave Anfield on loan next season as he aims to fight for a first-team place under Jurgen Klopp.
The Serbian become Jurgen Klopp’s first signing. However, it has been a disappointing season for the midfielder who has only featured eight times for Liverpool.
His lack of first team football has once again has linked him with a return to Red Star Belgrade. However, the player’s agent ruled out an exit from Anfield this summer.
“There is mutual trust, Klopp values Grujic and expects him to be part of the team next season,” he told HotSport,
“Grujic’s hard work in training and fine performances show plenty of promise, while his playing time would have been more significant hadn’t it been for the injuries.
“In the end, everyone is clear about their intentions to continue together next season.
“Liverpool are a great club and such a high professional level requires great effort as the road to the top is not easy.
“However, Marko is well-positioned here and his ‘five minutes’ will come. I have no doubt.”
Real Betis Dinamo Zagreb and Hamburg have all expressed interest for Liverpool starlet, but it seems that Serbian who has been likened to the Reds Legend Steven Gerrard will remain at Anfield.
