Arsene Wenger is keen on the signing of Serie A outfits Udinese starlet Jakub Jankto, according to the player’s agent.
The Czech Under-21 international has signed for Udinese from Slavia Prague back in 2014, and this summer has been linked to making a move to England.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has found the net five times while providing four more assists in 29 appearances has also been a target for Roma and AC Milan. However, Arsenal are believed to favourites after players agent confirmed interest from Premier League giants.
‘Arsenal like him, he’s a lover of English football, and he’s also liked by Juve, Inter and other teams,’ he told Sportitalia.
‘Still, he’s young, he’s 21 years old, he must be calm, and he’s only thinking about Udinese.
‘After that, we’ll see. Do I see him more in the Premier League than other Leagues? Yes.’
Meanwhile, Reports from Italy suggest that the Czech midfielder has a £6m release clause in his current deal, which would represent good value for the young talent like Jankto.
Arsene Wenger’s side have made an unusually early start in the transfer market after completing the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac and Jankto could be Wenger’s third summer signing.
