FC Porto look set to hand Alex Telles a new and improved deal at the club following reported summer interest from Premier League giants Chelsea.
The Brazilian full-back had been touted as a potential target for Chelsea as they looked to strengthen their defensive and Liverpool and PSG were also rumoured with a move for the 25-year-old defender.
However, FC Porto remained keen to retain Brazilian stars’ services and according to other reports in the summer, turned down a bid worth €35m from Bundesliga defending champions Bayern Munich.
The 25-year-old defender is a key man for the Liga NOS giants and according to claims from Portuguese news outlet A Bola, the Brazilian star is likely to sign a contract extension.
FC Porto are believed to be confident of tying up a deal to keep Brazilian defender at the club for the foreseeable future, with negotiations continuing to progress in a positive fashion.
Porto are also ready to ensure that if the 25-year-old star is to leave in the coming years, a premium price will be required. A Bola reported that a buyout clause fixed at €50m will be set if Brazilian star agrees on a new deal.
This sizable price is sure to put off some potential suitors, with the Blues summer interest evidently coming to no fruition.
