Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi has revealed that he prefers to play for Liverpool over any other club.
The 24-year-old has made his senior debut for Sasuelo back in 2012, has been rumoured with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan following his impressive season.
Despite scoring only nine goals this term, Berardi has impressed in Serie A with his performance for Sassuelo and has been a subject of the transfer speculations.
The Italy international has managed to found back of the net 73 times for Sassuolo during his seven-year at the club and recently opened up about his next team.
Talking to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, a striker who has been rumoured with a summer move to San Siro said:
“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club.
“And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo:
“I’ll take it”.
“Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.
“Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it.
“The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority.”
Liverpool head-coach, Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on bolstering his team over the summer in both offence and defence, so with Italian forward obviously keen on to make a switch to Anfield, bringing the international centre-forward to Merseyside may well prove to be a wise move in the long run.
