Bayer Leverkusen forward Julian Brandt would reportedly prefer to make switch to Borussia Dortmund rather than the Merseyside Reds if he decides to depart from the German club in this summer’s upcoming summer transfer window.
The Reds have been heavily linked with a summer switch for the 24-time Germany international forward who is believed to have a £21.5m release clause in his current contract, which expires back in June 2021.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s direct Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also recently been credited with interest for German international attacker.
However, according to Sky Sports News, should the forward depart from Leverkusen this season then he would prefer to make a switch to Dortmund over a transfer to the Premier League.
Brandt has found back of the net nine times and provided 17 assists in 42 games for Die Werkself in all competitions this campaign.
Meanwhile, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all reportedly reached provisional agreements with the entourage of Ligue 1 giants Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele ahead of a potential move in the summer.
The Frenchman has been excellent in French division and Champions League fixtures this season and has subsequently attracted interest from top teams in Europe.
According to the reports from Euro United via Twitter, the Merseyside Reds are among a trio of teams who have already tied up negotiations with the agent of the France international midfielder.
The Merseyside Reds are well stocked with options in the midfield role, however, it seems Jurgen Klopp may be on the lookout for strengthening his squad as Liverpool bid to challenge for the Premier League title next campaign.
