French midfielder Nabil Fekir admits he has not discussed signing contract extension with Lyon amid Liverpool interest.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder came close to joining the Merseyside Reds in the summer with a deal seemingly in place before the end of the world-cup tournament.
Prior to the tournament in Russia, Fekir underwent a medical with Liverpool, however, concerns over a long-standing knee issue have seen the Reds to cool their interest.
The Merseyside Reds could renew their interest in Frenchman during the January transfer window.
“What happened with Liverpool is straight out of my head, I turned the page,” said Fekir.
“We must not stop at this, we must move forward. There are things that must be accepted.
“My future? We have not discussed an extension yet, we will see what happens.”
Last season, Frenchman has found back of the net 18 times and added seven assists in 30 Ligue 1 games.
Despite the Merseyside Reds missing out on the 25-year-old Liverpool head-coach Jurgen Klopp’s side have shown no signs of lacking talent in the midfield area.
Liverpool, who are unbeaten in their first four games will have a trip to Wembley for the next weekend.
