Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil shouldn’t consider move to Manchester United, according to legendary German player Karl-Heinz Riedle.
Riedle has urged his compatriot to snub interest from Manchester United and stay at Emirates Stadium or make a return to the Bundesliga.
He told told Omnispor: “Ozil going back to Germany? Who knows.
“There’s a rumour that he goes to Manchester United. He shouldn’t do it.
“Ozil is a quality player. If you see his skills, it’s just amazing what he can do on the pitch.
“We would be very happy if he comes back to a club in Germany, for sure.
“But I’m not his agent so I don’t know where he ends up.
“Best option is if he would, from my point, if he would come to the Bundesliga.
“It’s a really good option because we get another national player back in our league.
“But if he is looking only for the money, then it would be very difficult to find the same kind of money in the German league than he can find in the Premier League.”
The Independent reported earlier last week that Jose Mourinho is keen on to lure German playmaker at Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old German star was signed by defending Champions League winners Real Madrid back in 2010 same year Mourinho took charge at Santiago Bernabeu.
The midfield maestro has played one of his best years under Jose Mourinho that has seen become Arsenal’s than a record signing.
Mourinho is reportedly convinced that German playmaker is ready to leave the North London club after the end of the current campaign.
