Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is reportedly unhappy at Old Trafford and ready to leave the club in the summer
Shaw moved at United for reported fee of £30m, but time at Mourinho’s team could soon be over, as the full-back has played just 13 times this season and has not been named in a matchday squad since November.
Despite his lack of playing time head coach Jose Mourinho recently praised Shaw for his attitude and potential.
“In practical terms we have lots of left backs. It doesn’t look like it but the reality is that Blind, Shaw, Rojo, Darmian are all playing left back and can play there, – Mourinho told the Independent.
“They are different players. I think the one that should be the best of all in a couple of years—because potentially he should have all the conditions to be the best—is Luke Shaw.”
However, the Daily Star reckons that Stoke City, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are all monitoring situation around England international, who “wants out” of the Reds after being frozen out of the first-team picture by the Special One.
With the 21-year-old seems to be desperate to “revive his career,” the Premier League duo, along with Championship giants Newcastle are determined to battle for Shaw’s services.
The Magpies have already demonstrated that they can punch above their weight in the transfer market and United star is a perfect fit for owner Mike Ashley’s policy of signing promising players with a huge re-sale value.
