Defending Premier League champions, Chelsea have been given a massive boost in the pursuit of Alex Sandro, according to Telegraph reports.
Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Brazilian defender for some time, and they made several attempts in the summer to lure him away from Allianz Stadium.
However, apparently, now the Brazilian defender is keen on to leave the Serie A champions and is believed to forcing an exit from the Italian champions. Links from a couple of months ago claimed Chelsea were ready to sanction a £60m bid. IT may take significantly more in order to sign him during the January transfer window.
Marcos Alonso has no cover down the Blues left-flank, and today Davide Zappacosta was a force to replace him in the Champions League group stage in order to rest Spaniard for the upcoming Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
Signing someone to compete with him is a priority for the Blues in Winter, and even if they can’t land Sandro, then they may move to a short-term solution.
