Arsenal and Chelsea have dealt a huge transfer blow in the pursuit of Kostas Manolas.

According to the TMW, Greek international star ready to end any talk of him signing for the Gunners or the Blues by signing a new deal with Roma.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a summer move as talks over fresh terms with Serie A giants stalled.

Manolas’s current deal with the Italian giants expires in June 2019 and there has been rumours that Roma could try and cash in on a defender or maximum profit, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a move away is off the table as Greek international star set to commit his future at Stadio Olimpico.

Greek centre-back will put a pen to paper on a long-term deal that will see him earning £50,000 per week in Roma.

Meanwhile, Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci remains a priority for Antonio Conte.

The 30-year-old defender has once again impressed with his reliable performances for Juve this term, helping them to reach the Champions League final and win Serie A title.

Manchester United, Man City and Real Madrid have all expressed interest in Italian defender, while Antonio Conte could hold the upper hand in the transfer race due to his relationship with Italy international star.

Chelsea are believed to preparing a four-year deal worth £115,000-a-week and he would be the perfect alternative for Kostas Manolas who is closing on a new contract with Manolas.
