Arsenal will try to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Goncalo Guedes during the January transfer window.
Though the Gunners are also planning a raid on their long-term target Thomas Lemar.
Guedes is on a season-long loan at Spanish giants Valencia where he has impressed and led the team to sit on the second place of the La Liga table.
With PSG under pressure from UEFA after spending around £366 million last summers transfer window by signing world-class attacking duo Kylan Mbappe and Neymar, Arsenal are hopeful they can secure the Guedes transfer as the French giants could consider gethering founds by selling Portuguese wonderkid.
It will be the new head of football relations Raul Sanllehi’s job to use his contacts gained at the Catalan club to secure the PSG stars services.
Arsene Wenger’s side are still considering a move for Ligue 1 forward Thomas Lemar in January, though they will not match that £90m offer they have made previously during the summer transfer window.
That would have been funded by the potential £60m fee for Alexis Sanchez from Manchester City – though both deals collapsed after Lemar was reluctant to make a move at such a late stage of the transfer window. It is understood he is now keen to move, which may persuade Monaco to sell.
