Monaco winger Thomas Lemar is holding off talks over a contract extension with Ligue 1 champions, following the interest from Arsenal.
French forward has three years remaining on his current deal with Monaco, however, according to the L’Equipe, Lemar is waiting for Arsene Wenger to make a move.
last Month, L’Equipe claimed that Frenchman was open to signing for Arsenal this summer despite their absence of Champions League football.
Ligue 1 champions are also reportedly open to selling the Frenchman, but they are demanding at least €30 million (£26m) for his signature.
The 21-year-old forward is one of many Monaco players who have impressed last season as he has scored 14-goals and added 17 assists to Leonardo Jardim’s title-winning campaign while the French giants also managed to play in the semi-finals of Champions League.
Tottenham are also keen on to sign 21-year-old Frenchman, and his compatriot Hugo Loris dropped a hint that he has been trying to convince Lemar to snub Arsenal and sign for Mauricio Pochettino’s side/.
‘You are right to ask the question, but I cannot reply,’ the goalkeeper told reporters with a smile after being asked over Lemar’s future.
