Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly in talks with Arsenal over the transfer of Spain international defender Hector Bellerin.
Since making his first-team breakthrough after some time spent in the youth team, Spanish defender has become a key player for the Gunners’ defence.
Bellerin started his career at Barca before moving to the Emirates Stadium, and it could now be that he returns to his home country to represent his old club’s major rivals.
According to Diario Gol president of Real Madrid is keen on signing the 22-year-old right-back as an upgrade to replace struggling Dani Carvajal. It is thought that a deal could cost around £35million.
This seems a respectable price to pay for a player who has the best years ahead, his space and quality on the ball make him an excellent attacking outlet from the back – something that should suit the style of football Real tend to play.
Still, Arsenal will try to decline offers for Bellerin after only recently tying him down to a long-term contract that runs until 2023.
