Southampton have reportedly joined the race for Chelsea starlet Bertrand Traore who has been on loan with Dutch giants Ajax.
The People claim the Saints are keeping tabs on 21-year-old forwards progress and planning move for his signature this summer.
Traore has played a key role in Ajax’s this term as Dutch giants finished second in the Eredivisie and reached the Europe League finals.
The 21-year-old forward doesn’t appear to have a future at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea could be open to selling him this summer to raise funds for the transfer market.
Saints boss Claude Puel is believed to be a huge admirer of young talent, while Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has sent spies to watch the £4.5m-rated youngster in action on the final day of Eredivisie tournament.
Traore impressed last season, scoring four goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea.
He also played several pre-season games and looked set for a full Premier League campaign under Antonio Conte this term.
This term Traore has managed to found the net for 13 times for Ajax and provided six more assists for the Dutch club who fill face Man Utd in the Europe League final.
