Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has reportedly urged his club to make a January move for Liverpool’s attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
Brazilian forward has been a close friend with Liverpool star and keen on to play alongside with him at Parc de Princess.
Coutinho was at the centre of a transfer saga over the summer, with Barcelona unsuccessfully tried to replace Neymar with him.
According to Sport, Ligue 1 giants are the latest team that have expressed interest in acquiring the midfielder after his compatriot urged French club to lure him at Parc de Princess.
The Merseyside Reds remain adamant that Coutinho is not for sale. However, both Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are now expected to make an approach for his signature during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has found the net twice in three Premier League appearances for the Reds this term and has been named on the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or.
Meanwhile, Key Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering with a hamstring injury during the international break.
