Juventus star Dani Alves has hinted he could make a surprising move to the Premier League this summer amid Chelsea transfer rumours.
The Veteran right-back was deemed surplus to requirements and discarded by Barcelona last year, however, Brazilian star has managed to cement a place in Juventus starting lineup and being one of the Key players for Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
The former Barcelona star has played a vital role in Juve’s run to the Champions League final and helped Italian giants to win domestic double.
Alves still has 12 months remaining on his current deal with Serie A champions. However, he has been heavily linked with a switch to the English top-tier.
Brazilian full-back seems to be a huge admirer of Premier League and hopes one day to play in England.
‘There is a great defensive culture, and to go and play in England you have to know how to defend well,’ said Alves, who has also previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
‘Last year I turned down many offers from the Premier League because I felt I had to go to Serie A. I hope that one day I will go there.’
The 34-year-old right-back has left the door open for possible Chelsea move by his latest comments: ‘Who knows? We’ll see.’
Alves could easily fit in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation and being tipped to replace Victor Moses on the right-wing.
Juventus star would represent a significant upgrade for Nigerian star who has stepped up his game last season and become one of the best players in the English top-tier.
Meanwhile, Dani Alves compatriot and Juventus’s teammate Alex Sandro has also been linked with Stamford Bridge move.
Recent reports from Italy player himself is keen on to sign for Antonio Conte’s side and planst to hand transfer request this summer to force his move to Premier League.
