Jose Mourinho is planning to ruin Antonio Conte’s summer plans and made an approach to sign Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan who has been in talks with Chelsea last summer, according to reports in Italy.
Gianluca Di Mazio claims that JPortuguese manager is looking to improve his options in the heart of midfielder, which has led the Reds exploring a potential deal for 28-year-old Roma star.
However, United’s efforts have already been halted as Belgian midfielder wants to stay with Roma.
Last month, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Roma were open to selling the Belgian star at the end of the campaign, and valued him at £35 million.
The 28-year-old midfielders was wanted by Antonio Conte last summer, and the midfielder has already confirmed that he held talks Chelsea over a potential move to Stamford Bridge,
‘Yes. I talked to him [Conte],’ he told Sky Sports News in March.
‘They were really interested and wanted me over there. That’s all I can say.’
Despite interest from Man United Stamford Bridge seems to be next destination for Radja Nainggolan if he decides to leave Stadio Olimpico.
