Arsenal and Man United are interested in signing championship defenderJames Bree, according to the Mirror reports.
The Barnsley starlet has also caught the eye of Manchester City, Tottenham, West Ham, and Southampton, while being also on radar of championship outfits Aston Villa.
Despite the interest from host of British clubs, Arsenal and Man United are favorites to secure the services of in-demand championship star.
The Midlands club are expected to make a £4 million move for the right-back, according to the Daily Mirror.
It is unknown whether the cohort of other sides chasing his signature will allow the youngster to go easily, and they may choose to make bids of their own if Steve Bruce and co. make an offer.
The 19-year-old defender has made 17 appearances for the Barnsley in the Championship, and has shown enough to caught eye from top Premier League clubs.
The Barnsley starlet is capable of playing in midfield as well as at full-back, and could follow in the footsteps of John Stones and Mason Holgate and join PL club after leaving Burnsley.
Man United have been heavily linked with signing Benfica starlet Victor Lindelof in the recent months and the speculations over his transfer to Old Trafford will grow up after Eric Bailly claimed that he ‘hopes’ to play with Swedish starlet.
The 22-year-old defender has emerged as a top target for Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho last month and reports say that the Red Devils are set to sign the defender in a reported £38million transfer fee.
Mourinho claimed he had no intention of signing replacement for Eric Bailey, however, player himself is keen on to be paired with the Swedish starlet in the heart of the Red Devils defense.
And amid speculation that Lindelof is set to complete a move to United, Bailly has backed the 22-year-old to shine at Old Trafford.
Bailly, who is currently on international duty with the Ivory Coast, told the Swedish media: ‘I hope to play with him [Lindelof]. Hopefully he will help us.
‘He is a very good player. He has great qualities and will certainly do it well if he comes to us.
‘We have many good central defenders [like] Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones but I hope I get to play with Lindelof.’
Bailly, who has made 17 appearances for United this season, added: ‘I do not have a guaranteed place and I know I have to be good to play. All is fighting to play (sic).
‘I think we have done well. We have done our best. The day we get to play, if we get there, we must take advantage of that opportunity.’
South American defender Marcos Rojo is expected to be available for Man United crucial clash in January against Liverpool in the FA Cup competition.
The 26-year-old defender was forced off after only 17 minutes in the Red Devils victory over Reading in the FA Cup tournament and it seems that the injury isn’t too serious and Rojo will be back to action against Liverpool, the news will come as a huge boost for Man United fans especially in the absence of Eric Bailly.
Jose Mourinho admitted after the third round victory that the Red Devils would need to be cautious with the Argentine following his premature exit at Old Trafford.
But, according to the Daily Record, United are now confident Rojo did not suffer a muscular tear and will, therefore, make a swift recovery.
And it is believed Rojo will be back at Mourinho’s disposal soon with the EFL Cup semi-final and Premier League clashes against Liverpool and Stoke City approaching.
Argentinian defender, who joined Red Devils in the summer of 2014 from the Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon has made 22 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side in all competitions.
