Manchester City have reportedly joined Arsenal in their pursuit of Real Madrid no.9, Karim Benzema.
Former France international forward future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been cast into doubt this campaign, with Benzema has scored only two La Liga goals in 2017/18 season as Madrid have fallen 11 points behind from their bitter rivals Barcelona.
PSG and Arsenal are believed to be keeping tabs on Benzema’s situation at the Bernabeu intending to a possible move, although any deal would rely on whether Real Madrid signs a quality replacement.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon claimed that Man City head-coach Pep Guardiola is believed to be a huge admirer of French forward and sees him as a replacement for Sergio Aguero.
The city already have the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Aguero at their frontline, however, Guardiola is keen to add even more attacking firepower in order to finish this season on top of the Premier League table while also winning the Champions League trophy.
Benzema only signed a new deal with the Los Blancos in September. However, Florentino Perez is expected to splash the cash in January and could try to offload several players to gether money for another galactico signing.
