Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has made a worrying demand in order to force his move to Barcelona in January.
The Brazilian playmaker was expected to sign for the Spanish giant’s last summer. However, he has opted to remain at Anfield and since then has shown some incredible performances for the club.
But the Merseyside Reds hopes of keeping their star player at Anfield appear to fade once again.
According to the Daily Mirror, Coutinho wants assurances that he will be allowed to sign for Barcelona in the summer.
There has been the talk of the La Liga leaders returning with a bid for the midfielder in the summer.
But the Mirror claim Coutinho still has his heart set on a move to Spain.
However, the 25-year-old ready to remain at the club until the end of the current campaign.
The Merseyside Reds may be on the hunt for two new midfielders before the start of the next campaign.
German international midfielder Emre Can has also been linked with a switch to Serie A champions Juventus and the Merseyside Reds.
The German’s midfielder current deal runs out at the end of the current campaign and he is yet to sign a new contract.
Luckily for the Merseyside Reds, Naby Keita will be the Reds player for the start of next campaign.
