Liverpool have reportedly decided to hand Trent Alexander-Arnold new bumper deal following an impressive breakthrough season under Jurgen Klopp.
The 19-year-old versatile defender, who has made 12 appearances last campaign, committed his future to the Merseyside Reds by signing a long-term deal in the summer.
This term, Alexander-Arnold has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side, his swift progress being hailed by the German manager.
According to The Mirror, the Reds had already planned to offer Alexander-Arnold a wage boost after his impressive performances in the Champions League quarter-finals against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City where he has destroyed Leroy Sane.
The report goes on to claim that Liverpool and the defender will sit on the negotiation table this summer after the end of the current campaign.
In addition, Alexander-Arnold is believed to be in serious contention for a place in Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup team.
Meanwhile, another player who has been in the line to receive a bumper deal is Roberto Firmino who has been in stunning form this term scoring 15 Premier League goals.
