AC Milan stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Liverpool.
During the second half of the season, Loris Karius has established himself as Liverpool’s number one at Anfield, however, ,doubts remain over the futures of Danny Ward and Simon Mignolet.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Merseyside Reds may choose to move for highly-rated Italian goalkeeper, who could be available with AC Milan having missed out on Champions League football next season.
The 19-year-old is believed to be one of Milan’s most prized assets. However, a combination of Pepe Reina having already been signed for next campaign and the San Siro having to fulfil FFP criteria could lead them to sell star player ahead of the new season.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian giants are demanding at least £60m as the youngster still has three years left on his current deal.
Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be monitoring the situation, while Liverpool’s bitter Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea also monitoring Donnarumma’s situation at AC Milan.
