Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sell Tiago Ilori withing one week after Reading agreed to pay £3.75m for his signature.
Reading manager Jaap Stam has been a huge admirer of Portugal U23 international and wants him to help bolster their promotion push as they currently sit third in the Championship table.
Ilori has signed for Liverpool for £7m from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon back in 2013, however, he has failed to settle at Anfield as he has made only three FA Cup appearances for the Merseyside Reds.
The Portugal U23 international has also had loan spells with Granada and Bordeaux where he managed to find the net only once i n 14 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfits. during his time at Liverpool having failed to make a first-team breakthrough under the previous manager, Brendan Rodgers.
However, the Merseyside Reds stand to make a profit if he’s a hit at the Madejski Stadium.
Along with the £3.75m fee, Jurgen Klopp’s side have inserted a 25% sell-on clause in the deal for Portuguese ace according to the, Mail Online reports.
The deal for Ilori is expected to be announced this week with Reading are desperate to lure Liverpool ace and fight for the Promotion to the English top tier.
