Jurgen Klopp is desperate to solve his goalkeeping dilemma, Liverpool emerged to lure Navas away from Real Madrid, as reports claim.
The Merseyside club have endured difficulties with Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, both struggling to achieve their optimal form, while Navas is expected to be one of the Real Madrid offerings for other clubs as La Liga giant plan to overhaul their squad.
According to El Gol Digital, Liverpool have decided that they will offer not more than £44million for the Costa Rica goalkeeper who nearly moved to Old Trafford back in 2015.
But the transfer fell through, as the Red Devils managed to maintain Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea.
Since that, Navas has helped Real to win consecutive Champions League titles. The 31-year-old goalkeeper is Zidane’s favorite as he regularly puts him in the starting lineup.
El Gol Digital say Liverpool are hellbent on landing him.
They will only bid £44m as they consider his release clause of £70million deemed too high.
Navas is not the only showstopper being tipped to move to Anfield as Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Roma’s Alisson the Brazilian flourished in Serie A and was recently dubbed the ‘Lionel Messi of goalkeepers’.
