Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to let Toby Alderweireld leave the club due to a breakdown in talks over a new deal.
The likes of Liverpool and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the 28-year-old defender who is widely considered to be one of the best centre-backs in the English top-tier.
Belgium international star is a key member of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI, although he has been limited to just 17 games this campaign following the series of injuries.
Speculation over the 28-year-old star future has begun to grow in recent weeks after he was left out of several important games while working his way back to full fitness, with uncertainty also surrounding his contract situation at the club.
Former Ajax defender’s current contract expires at the end of next 2018/19 season, but The Times reports that Tottenham are refusing to meet his £150,000-a-week demands as they are planing to offer him no more than £110,000 per week.
And if no progress is made before the end of the current campaign, then the club are thought to be willing to cash in on the 28-year-old star rather rsiking to lose him for free.
