The agent of PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has opened the door for Liverpool to complete the transfer as Jurgen Klopp is seeking a quality replacement for Simon Mignolet.
The German goalkeeper has made 60 Ligue 1 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain since make the switch to Parc de Princes back in 2015, however, the 27-year-old keeper is being strongly linked with an exit from PSG next year.
Alphonse Areola has established himself as the first-choice stopper under Unai Emery and Trapp would love to leave the club in order to secure first-team football elsewhere.
Asked if Trapp could move on from PSG in January, his representative Jorg Neubauer told Sport 1: ‘If there is a chance in the winter, Kevin wants to leave Paris.’
Both Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet continue to struggle at Anfield and Le 10 Sport claim that Jurgen Klopp would welcome 27-year-old German keeper with the open arms.
German international stopper has hinted that he would love to work with Jurgen at Liverpool.
‘It’s an amazing club with a great tradition,’ the Germany shot-stopper told Sport 1 last month.
‘And of course, I’m a fan of the Premier League. The Reds are not without interest, they have already won many titles and Jürgen Klopp is, of course, a very good coach.
‘I have not thought of possible clubs yet. However, many things can happen in football. ‘Even if I’m not the most patient person, I have to stay cool.”
Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has claimed that the French champions would be willing to sell Thomas Lemar for the right price.
Jardim believes that the latest £142m sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona proves that every club can get a player they want when the price is right.
AS Monaco boss is believed to oversee a 200th game as Monaco head-coach against Montpellier this weekend with 22-year-old Lemar has been strongly linked with a possible move Liverpool and Arsenal.
“You know how crazy the market can be,” Jardim said.
“Things can happen that even a club like Monaco can’t say no to.
“It happened at Liverpool. The figures today are very high. Everything can change very quickly. What I tell you today can be different tomorrow. ”
“I want to keep Lemar. If I stayed here for ten years, I’d want Lemar to stay with me for ten years.
“He’s young. He could play for another decade. He’s got a lot of qualities, and I like him a lot.”
Liverpool have already lost Philippe Coutinho while Arsenal are also on the verge to sell their star player Alexis Sanchez to their direct Premier League rivals Manchester City and Lemar seems to be an ideal addition to both English heavyweights.
Riyad Mahrez who has been in talks with Liverpool FC about the possibility of replacing Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho at Anfield is believed to prefer to join Arsenal, according to the reports from Britain.
As per Express, Algerian forward has emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp’s side after they lost their star player Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
The report claims that insiders in Mahrez’s camp have claimed that player is already in talks with Liverpool over a possible switch.
The 26-year-old is believed to be on the Merseyside Reds shortlist of potential replacements for Brazilian attacker after his switch to the Spanish club was announced earlier last week.
However, despite the clear link to Liverpool Mahrez himself prefers to join another Premier League club, Arsenal that are also in the market for the offensive reinforcements following the possible departure of Alexis Sanchez.
The 26-year-old winger is believed to have recently bought a property in the English capital, despite no talks having been held between the two parties.
Mahrez has been in top form for the Foxes this campaign as he has managed to score seven goals and made seven assists in 22 Premier League appearances.
